Top 3 Video Games

Here are my top 3 favorite games that I play with friends while leaning at the same time! I hope you find these games as interesting as I do!

1. Minecraft

For those of you who believe that Minecraft is just about killing zombies and other players you are totally wrong. Minecraft in creative mode allows you to build whatever your imagination can conjure. In this game, you use building blocks that are based on materials such as stone, dirt, water, ores, plants and some imaginary lands.

I have taken courses using Minecraft to learn about Ancient Wonders and the American Revolution. In these online courses, I build structures, based on what we learned, with other kids – for example, we built a printing press and a giant ship for the Boston Tea Party among other items. I was learning about ancient Mesopotamia so I built the Hanging Gardens of Babylon in Minecraft! Minecraft is also a good way to connect with friends. For example, I have a friend who moved away for a year and we keep in touch by playing together on a server!

 

2. Terraria

Terraria is a game not for the meek minded but the adventurous. This game is about getting the best tools and armor while sustaining a village and a home without dying. It is a great way to have a party with friends by connecting and playing together and adventuring.

 

3. Clash of Clans

Join your friends while battling and learning strategy about base building and spending money. This game is a great way to learn how to save money. If you need to learn how to invest without knowing that you are learning this is a great game for you!
