Today was the day we went to check out the Capitol building! It was so cool! Inside we got to see the court rooms and sit in the spectators seats! This is where they make the laws for California!
We also saw portraits of governors of California in their favorite style of painting and art.
After our tour of the Capitol building, we went to lunch at food trucks at a park.
We then went to a historic site called Sutter’s Fort which is famous for its pivotal point in the gold rush and saving the Donner party.
Inside Sutter’s Fort we saw blacksmiths, jails, gunneries and coopers.
Our intriguing lesson sadly ended because time was up but we then went to the State Indian museum.
There we saw many interesting exhibits including Native American arts, crafts, ceremonial items and examples of objects form everyday life.
After our long, hands-on day of exciting learning, finally had to end.
